Heidi Myhre is well
known within the disability community as a teacher, speaker,
advocate, activist,
friend, and leader. It is not unusual to find her testifying at the
Capitol, presenting at conferences and workshops, actively participating on various
committees and workshops, participating in the Getting Out the Vote Drive, etc.
As the
person who nominated stated, " If leadership and knowledge about
disability and
services was something you could bottle up and sell, Heidi's
picture would be on the
bottle". In the spirit of the Irving Martin Award,
Heidi has truly made a significant
difference in the lives of persons with
disabilities. Congratulations Heidi!
