Lead a Program This Month

October is Disability Awareness Month. Why not have your group make a presentation for a local community group? You could start with one of ACT’s toolkits. Bring coffee and doughnuts. Make a short presentation. Afterward, invite folks to talk a little about what thoughts they have.

Here are two easy ways to offer a program:

1.

Put on a game of Self-Advocacy Bingo.

2. Show the new movie about the R-word, Offense Taken.
