ACT Board: Not Bored, But Active

The ACT board does stuff. They take part in leading ACT programs. They decide what ACT’s policies will be. They approve our new programs. The board is one of ACT’s strongest assets. This is a board where you’re supported to build your skills and become a leader.

ACT members alone vote on and decide who’s on the board. The board has 16 people—all individuals with disabilities.

Why we take our time
When we work on an issue, or put on a conference, or do a training, we involve as many people with disabilities as we can at each step.
