Brew up a cup and join us every Tuesday morning at 10am to talk about your week, what’s going well, what your looking forward too, and whatever else is on your mind. Check-ins typically go until 11am and feature an intimate group size of 8-12 people. Coffee chat's are conveniently held virtually every Tuesday except the first of the month, when people are invited to review ACT's in-person meeting guidelines and get together at Newell Park.
Contact pmitchell@selfadvocacy.org, (612) 314-6497 for the Zoom log-in information and for any other questions.

Our Book Club meets every two weeks to talk about the last two chapters of Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone. We love the story and the variety of ways in which you can follow along including free audio versions on YouTube and Spotify in addition to more traditional methods like buying a hardcopy of the book. Contact ACT to get on the list for the next one.

Disability Power Day came about from feedback following the Statewide Self-Advocacy Conference. Attendees loved the opportunity to meet people from other self-advocacy groups and they loved the workshops. People loved it so much we decided to launch a monthly mini conference which we call Disability Power Day. We cover important topics like building friendships, speaking up for yourself, connecting with your community, and learning about your human rights.
Our in-person Disability Power Days feature a morning session, FREE LUNCH, and an afternoon session - giving us a full day to make connections, grow and have a blast!
Please review ACT's meeting guidelines before attending or supporting others to attend in-person events register in-advance - this helps us prepare the right amount amount food. Contact Patrick at pmitchell@selfadvocacy.org, (612) 314-6497 to register groups of 10 or more or if you have any questions/concerns.
